Read and Write Text Streams
Introduction
This is the first lesson of chapter 13 in the Comprehensions, Lambdas, Closures, and I/O section of PCAP-31-03 (22% of the score, 9 of 40 items). It covers objectives 5.4 and 5.5: reading and writing files with the built-in open(), the open modes, the methods of a stream object, and the use of the with statement to release the file reliably. It also touches objective 2.1, because file operations are the most common reason for exceptions in real programs.
