Pass Functions to Transformations
Introduction
This is the second lesson of chapter 11 in the Comprehensions, Lambdas, Closures, and I/O section of PCAP-31-03 (22% of the score, 9 of 40 items). It covers objective 5.2: the lambda function, and the use of functions as arguments of other functions, with map(), filter() and sorted() as the standard examples. In Python a function is an object like any other. You can store it in a variable, put it in a list, pass it as an argument and return it from another function. A function that receives or returns another function is called a higher-order function.
