Choose Mathematical Operations

Introduction

This lesson covers objective 1.2 of PCAP-31-03, the first of the standard-library objectives in the Modules and Packages section (12% of the score, 6 of the 40 items). The syllabus expects you to use the math module for the functions ceil(), floor(), trunc(), factorial(), hypot() and sqrt(), and to know what the module offers beyond what the built-in operators already do. The exam is not testing whether you remember a formula; it tests whether you can predict, from a few lines of code, which value and which type a call returns, and when it raises an error.
