Forecasting and Release Planning

Introduction

This is the second and last lesson of the focus area Managing Products with Agility in the PSM I assessment. Stakeholders always ask the same questions: "When will it be done?", "How much will we get?" and "How much will it cost?" This lesson explains how Scrum Teams answer them honestly in a complex environment, using empirical forecasts instead of fixed promises, and how releasing relates to Sprints. Scrum.org does not publish the number of questions per focus area, but scenario questions on forecasting, releasing and uncertainty appear in the assessment.
