Introduction

This lesson opens Domain 3, Security Architecture (18% of SY0-701). It covers objective 3.1, the effect of architecture models on security, and objective 3.2, how to apply security principles to secure enterprise infrastructure. The exam asks you to look at a design, such as a hybrid cloud, a factory floor, or a branch office, and pick the control that fits it. To do that you must know who is responsible for what in each model, what makes specialized devices hard to protect, and where each security device belongs on the network.
