Packaging and Deploying Java Code

Introduction

This lesson covers the seventh objective of the Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 21 Developer exam (1Z0-830): Packaging and Deploying Java Code. In practice this means the Java Platform Module System (JPMS, introduced in Java 9), the command-line tools that build and inspect modules (javac, jar, java, jdeps, jlink) and the service mechanism (ServiceLoader). Oracle does not publish a weighting per objective, but questions in this area follow a pattern: a short module-info.java or a shell command is shown, and you must decide whether it compiles, runs or fails, and why.
