Deployments, Rollouts, ConfigMaps, and Secrets

Introduction

This lesson opens the Workloads & Scheduling domain (15% of the CKA, Kubernetes v1.35). The official curriculum lists: understand deployments and how to perform rolling update and rollbacks, use ConfigMaps and Secrets to configure applications, and configure workload autoscaling and self-healing application deployments (autoscaling and scheduling follow in the next lesson). In the performance-based exam these are among the quickest points available: "create a Deployment with 3 replicas, update the image, roll back", "inject this ConfigMap as environment variables", "add a readiness probe", "run one Pod on every node". They are quick only if you use kubectl imperatively and edit YAML with confidence.
